Strawberry Pie Picture (Samdogs)

strawberry pie picture samdogs flickr

I received this Longaberger pie plate from my mother-in-law for Christmas and I’m finally trying it out, 2 months later. It’s hard to believe I haven’t made a pie in 2 months. Guess I’ve been too busy with the cakes and cookies. Pie season will be picking up soon with the fresh fruits in a few months.

Answer 2:
Fresh Strawberry Pie

shortbread cookie pie crust
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. almond extract (can used vanilla instead)
1 cup heavy cream
Strawberries, washed, caps removed

Beat cream cheese, sugar and extract until smooth. In a chilled bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form – fold into cream cheese mixture.

Put into cookie crust. Top with whole strawberries, point end facing up, starting in the middle and working out to edges, covering the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for up to 3 hours before serving. Serves 8.

1 C. Sugar
3 Tbsp. Corn Starch
1 (12 oz.) can 7-Up
2-3 drops red food color (optional)
1 pint Strawberries
Whipped cream or Cool-Whip
Baked 9″ pie crust

In a medium sized saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, and 7-UP until creamy. Cook over a medium to a medium high heat until the mixture becomes thick. When this mixture becomes thick, cool to room temperature, and add a couple of drops of red food coloring.
Wash, and cut strawberries depending on how large they are. Sprinkle a teaspoon or two of sugar on the strawberries, and place them into pie shell. Pour the cooled 7-Up mixture over the strawberries. Allow this to set for a few minutes. Serve with plenty of Whipped Cream.

Answer 3:
2 cups granulated sugar
6 tablespoons cornstarch
1 package strawberry flavored gelatin, 4-serving size
2 cups water
4 pints strawberries, hulled
2 9-inch baked pie shells, cooled
Cook sugar, cornstarch, jello and water until thick; cool. Place whole berries the baked pie shells. Pour sauce over berries and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
Serve with lightly sweetened whipped cream or whipped topping.

Answer 4:
This is the absolutely best strawberry pie ever. I served this in my restaurant during our strawberry season and made a ton of them-this is scaled down for one pie. Very simple to put together and you will get raves!
Strawberry Pie
¾ cup sugar
4 Tablespoons flour
1/4 cup of strawberry jello (½ of a 3oz. box)
¾ cup water
16 oz pkg. fresh strawberries
Graham Cracker pie shell
Mix sugar, flour, and jello in a small saucepan. Add water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Continue cooking, stirring constantly until it starts to get thick, about another minute. Set aside to cool slightly. Slice strawberries in half lengthwise. Lay half of strawberries in graham cracker pie shell. (I bake my own using directions on graham cracker crumbs package, plus I add a little cinnamon and nutmeg, which makes it taste yummy))Pour filling over strawberries and then add another layer of strawberries. Cover and refrigerate 6 hours. Top with whipped topping.

Answer 5:
Strawberry Pie

1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp Strawberry Jello
3 Tbsp Cornstarch
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup hot water
1 pint fresh Strawberries

Combine the ingredients and bring to a boil and boil 35 minutes. Let cool and pour over strawberries that are placed in cookie pie shell. Then congeal. Top with whipped cream.

Answer 6:

2 cups Fiber One cereal
8 tsp. LAND O LAKES Light Butter , melted
6 oz. Jell-O Sugar Free Gelatin mix , strawberry flavor
1 1/2 cups Cool Whip Free

Begin by preheating oven to 350 degrees.

In a blender or food processor, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Combine crumbs with melted butter and stir until well mixed.

In an oven-safe pie dish sprayed with nonstick spray, evenly distribute Fiber One mixture, using your hands or a flat utensil to press & form the crust. Use your fingers to press it into the edges and up along the sides of the dish.

Bake pie crust for 10 minutes. Set aside.

In a separate dish, dissolve gelatin mix into 2 cups boiling water. Stir for 2 minutes, or until completely dissolved. Stir in 1 cup of cold water, and place in fridge for about 1 1/2 hours, but NO LONGER (Jell-O should be jiggly, but not firm).

Next, use a mixer to fold in Cool Whip. Once mixture is very well blended, pour evenly into pie crust. Use a flat utensil to smooth out surface.

Refrigerate for several hours until firm. If desired, garnish pie with sliced strawberries.
